Self-published authors, especially the good ones, need reviews from readers. Whether you download books from Amazon, B&N or buy hard copies, it only takes a moment to jot down what you liked and didn’t like about a particular book. If you liked it, you will help the author by increasing sales. If you hated it, you may be saving the rest of us from spending money on garbage and if we are really lucky, bad authors will just stop writing books and go back to their day jobs.
Did I just say that out loud?
You don’t have to write an entire synopsis of the book, in fact I and other readers loathe those that do. A few sentences about why you liked or disliked a story is all it takes and indie authors appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.
