Well, here we are, almost halfway through 2014. I spend every single evening reading, as it’s a way for me to release the tensions of my day and deal with somebody else’s problems for awhile.
This year, with the exception of two books I can think of off the top of my head, I have read nothing but horror. Serial killers, demons and zombies have filled my nights and awakened my imagination. Honestly, I can’t think of a better thing to do with my nights than to turn off the lights and dive into a good, sometimes scary book.
I was browsing the more than 800 books I have on my Kindle and Nook and decided to put together a list of my top 10 favorites reads so far this year. My sincere hope is that you will try out an author you have never read before. These are books I liked so much, I will be rereading them sometime in the future. A book I hate or is simply mediocre gets deleted pretty quickly.
So, without further adieu, here are my favorite horror books of 2014 so far, in no particular order:
These are some of the best books written by some of the best authors out there right now. Remember, if you read one, take a minute to leave a review even if you’re giving it less than 5 stars. It helps more than you know.
