Review: Morning Sickness by Justin Tate

Image Morning Sickness is a short story about Denise Perkins, a woman who is thrilled to find out she is pregnant. Unfortunately, during her pregnancy, Denise begins experiencing delusions and craves raw meat.

Morning Sickness is a short little story, only about 26 pages long so you will be able to finish it in well under an hour. I like the author’s writing style, but I felt the ending was a little anti-climactic. More thought could have been put into the ending and it would have given the story a much more creepy vibe than it had. That said, I think this author has a great imagination and as long as all his books don’t end with the same kind of (boring) conclusion, I’ll definitely read more of his work.
