Review: Colony Z by Luke Shephard

Over the last couple of months, all of my reviews have been for brilliant books from authors who have earned my utmost respect. That’s about to change.

Colony Z has got to be one of the worst pieces of literature I have ever read. The story is disjointed, characters shallow, and the dialogue, forced and fake. This is supposed to be a zombie story and there are hardly any zombies in it! The narratives did nothing to make me feel like I was actually living the story with the stick-figure characters, and the way the author told the story, it felt like he was trying not to offend anyone. Thank god this book was short and I didn’t waste too much of my life on it. Oh, and the “cliffhanger” was total crap.

If you want a quality zombie story, stick with one created by Iain Rob Wright or TW Brown, but please, even though it’s free, run away from the ridiculous Colony Z.
