Review: Ever Green by Pete Kahle

Book Description:

Caitlyn has never met anyone like Trevor. He was kind, intelligent, sexy and he loved nature. Who cared if she had horrible allergies? That shouldn’t keep them apart. She knew he was the man with whom she wanted to spend the rest of her life, but before they could take things to the next level, Trevor wanted her to meet his mother…

A short story of ~5200 words

Ever Green is a short, creepy little story that starts off nice and slow, easing you into the characters’ lives. Caitlyn and Trevor are in love and Trevor wants to take Caitlyn home to meet Mother. How sweet, right? Wrong. When you find out who Mother is and what she wants to do to Caitlyn, you’ll see that all things are not what they seem.

I really can’t tell you much more about this book because it is so short and spoilers aren’t my thing. That said, this is a great little story with a unique ending. And one more quick note, isn’t that cover fantastic?
